Additional Information

As a reminder Ogunquit has a Town Ordinance PROHIBITING fireworks by the public. Every year we have several private shows before or after the municipal display and this is not only against town ordinance but is detrimental to the nesting plovers. The municipal display is carefully coordinated with Inland Fisheries and Wildlife and Plover volunteers to ensure the display is of sufficient distance and the plovers are protected during our display.

The Piping Plovers volunteers are coordinated by Bobby Morse. Bobby is asking anyone who is interested in assisting with the fireworks plover detail to contact him at bobbymorse@gmail.com
