The ribbon-cutting ceremony, graciously hosted by the Sanibel Captiva Chamber of Commerce, was a testament to the enduring spirit of this cherished island institution.

And it’s one of the most reliable places to visit if you’re unable to find one of Sanibel’s elusive Junonia shells, but you really want to go home with one 🙂

Hurricane Ian posed a formidable challenge to She Sells Sea Shells, leading to a temporary closure as owners Anne and David Joffe, alongside their children, worked tirelessly to address the aftermath. While the building emerged unscathed, the inventory bore the brunt of the storm.
